The theater of war in Helldivers 2 is complicated. With two separate fronts to defend against, Super Earth must make some tough decisions about where to send his brave soldiers and when to flee. The last few Major Orders have led to the launch of Super Earth’s newest weapon, the Democracy Space Station.

Arrowhead made the Helldivers 2 Major Order count in the most playful way possible.
Although the build-up of this ‘superweapon’ has been slow and hard-fought, the Helldivers have made progress. The next step in launching the weapon is manning it, which requires the Major Order to recruit “cheap labor”. The developers really want to promote the morality of the player base, as this will be done through the recruitment of ‘disenfranchised families’ trying to escape conflict.
Super Earth’s very own Death Star
The new Major Order, issued only yesterday, states that progress on the DSS continues despite the setback of the previous orders. However, the next step to making the superweapon functional is manning it. Being a weapon, it won’t exactly have the comfortable quarters, so Super Earth has decided to forcibly recruit people who are essentially war refugees.
“Despite the minor setback, the construction of the DSS continues unabated,” said the brief for the new Major Order. “It is currently in its third phase of construction, and before it can be activated it must be staffed. Fortunately, cheap labor is coming from the colonies near the Gloom, which is currently going through something of an eruption with extremely intense attacks coming from it. .
“The Helldivers are tasked with holding the designated planets while these disenfranchised families find their new home aboard the superweapon.”
Helldivers 2 players aren’t exactly new to following morally questionable orders. Whether attacking innocent Terminid farms or ignoring the consequences of executed orders, the Helldivers never question the orders of High Command.
Hell divers 2
The Galaxy’s last line of attack. Join the Helldivers and join the fight for freedom in a hostile galaxy in a fast, frantic and furious third-person shooter. Helldivers 2 offers Arrowhead’s best cooperative gameplay yet. Collaboration will be key: teams will collaborate on equipment, determine their approach to each mission, and complete objectives together.
Earlier this year, however, players had to choose between two Major Orders, one that would unlock the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines and the other that involved rescuing captured children with no reward. The community took action to save the children, prompting the developers to make an actual donation to the Save the Children foundation. So there is still some humanity left on Super Earth.
It looks like something big is on the horizon as the DSS is almost complete. Perhaps this series of events will officially reveal the Illuminate, finally giving Helldivers a third front beyond bugs and bots.
