Mass Effect Series: Every Ending Explained
The Mass Effect titles are known for their multiple endings. Today we’re unpacking each Mass Effect ending and discussing which ones are canon.
That’s because, ahead of N7 Day on Thursday, BioWare has come out and asked fans to temper their expectations. The EA studio just launched Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the highly anticipated next installment in the Dragon Age series, and isn’t quite ready to talk about Mass Effect so soon.
Via Twitter, BioWare warned that this year will be “quieter” due to the recent launch of The Veilguard. It’s not like N7 Day will be empty, however, as BioWare also noted that there will be “a little fun.”
Mass Effect 5, however, is the focus
While N7 Day doesn’t seem to be as impactful, it’s not like Mass Effect 5 isn’t the focus. In fact, in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, BioWare revealed that it has no major DLC plans for The Veilguard. Instead, the studio will turn its attention to Mass Effect 5.
But as IGN noted in a follow-up report, BioWare will still be making quality-of-life improvements, as well as smaller updates, which will take some of their attention. Still, now that The Veilguard is finally out, it seems like the Mass Effect 5 hype train is about ready to take off. This coincides with previous reports about the mature tone and photorealistic quality of the game. So while there won’t be a big celebration this N7 Day, that doesn’t mean the next one won’t be big. All signs point to that.
